Question Boat hire

Hi All
My name is pete lloyd,my wife is Liz,and we have three girls 2,9 and 12.
We rent an apartment in Almoradi, but don`t know the town well.I know there is a river nearby, can anybody tell me if there is any boat hire? Also there seems to be a lack of taxis in the town.Does anyone know of a good taxi company for supermarket runs and where are the main bus stops.
Any help would be gratefully recieved.
Pete

In all honesty your probably better off hiring a car for your break in Almoradi.

Fuel prices are a lot cheaper than the UK, so you wont be taking out a second mortgage every time you fill up. Plus you will have more scope for visiting local beaches, towns, villages etc etc

As for boat hire I have no idea. I have not seen the river you mention

I had never noticed it in all the times I have been down that way on the motorway.

Be ready for a bit of a disappointment if you expect to find something similar to the river Medway.

But if you want a good day out getting wet and messing about in water falls, take a day to visit the Algar Water Falls. There are normally coach trips advertised for going there in the free papers. But without a car, you might be stuck for getting to the pick up points.

The water falls are inland from Benidorm. At a rough guess, just over an hour away.
