Below is a map of all the British bars in Catral. If there are any missing or you want a restaurant added to it, please let me know the location to add it / them to the Catral map.

If anyone wants to add a review of their favorite bar or your an owner of one of the bars and want to add details of all upcoming events, please add them.

Ryans Bar - A great little Irish bar tucked away in Catral. Owned and run by Peter. The owner Peter is a true to life Irish landlord and will greet you with a smile and a warm welcome . Peter, if you met him you would think he was mad if you go to Ryans you wont be disappointed.
Pool table, air conditioned and big screen TV plus great hosts behind the bar. I better mention their secret weapon that works behind the bar, Kate. Who has a heart of gold and serves a mean pint.
ryans restaurant

Friday nights - 50 question + bonus question quiz night from 4th September 2009 and a raffle thrown in for luck-
Bonus cash prize
Quiz starts 9pm
Prizes - drinks

Wednesdays - auctions
A mixture between a bring and buy sale and an auction
Items to be sold to be entered no later than 11:30am
Items entered for free, small fee payed if items are sold
50 cent hot dogs and 2euro English breakfasts sold as specials for the auctions.
The 50 cent hot dogs are well worth sampling. I did Very moorish

The Village Inn - waiting review by forum members

Longs Bar - Recently taken over by June from Geoff, has a good selection of English food on offer, at reasonable prices. Along with a good name for food in the village, they also have a quiz night on Tuesday nights along with other activities. Visit the bar to find out forthcoming events.

Landons - Owned and run by Johnny and his family, they offer a great choice of food at good prices. Pool room
Friday - Saturday: Live Music
Tuesday: Bingo/Quiz-nights
Wed- Pool league

Casa Raquel - Run by Al and Viv. Always happy to please the customer and go the extra mile if they can. Beware, Al loves cooking curry and trying to curry anything he can lay his hands on. Again, great food at reasonable prices

Inn Plaice - This is a family run fish and chip shop located directly over the road from Landons Bar and Casa Raquel´s
What more could you want, a traditional English meal without the rain and cold

Biker Bar - not marked on the map. This is located further up the road from Langdons and Casa Raquel opposite the petrol station marked on the map.
Taken from a press release in a local paper - Owned and run by English couple Ron and Michele and Spanish partners Angela and José the bar has a distinct “Biker Theme” with lots of memorabilia from the USA.
There is a pool room, darts and a great range of beers with a distinctly friendly atmosphere. Already popular with British and Spanish alike, the Bike Bar is situated opposite the Briogas petrol station and is easy to find. It also has plenty of parking, whether you choose to arrive by car or motorcycle.
Right next door is the Custom Garage Bikes, for motorcycle repair where you’ll find experts in customising and custom painting.

Disco I have no idea what the disco is called
Location, if you look on the map its easy to find but not on there yet. Look at the top of the map and you see a petrol station on the right of Avda de la Purisma ( the main rod into town) with the petrol station on your left, take the next left and its down there on the left.
From Landons, its within walking distance. With Landons on your left, head up the road, over the roandabout and its the third road on your right

Big place you cant miss. This is a mainly Spanish place

This is one hell of a local disco in size. Drinks we found were about 3€ for a budwiser. Two bars and big dance floor.

And for anyone who has no idea where our quaint little village is on the Costa Blanca, a map so you can find it

Two late bars to add.

Eubanos (not sure on the spelling of it )

As you come down the high street and it goes into one way, its down on the right hand side. Think its open till about 4am on a weekend.

Che (again, not sure on the spelling ) Down the high street. Where the one way stops on the corner, its on the left.

Again another great little late drinking hole.

Bar, dance floor, first floor seating and roof top terrace.

Trust me, its hard work testing out all the bars in the village. The hangovers are the worst part

All because your too bloody old and ugly to come out for a beer.

And how come you are the one who is making accusations of the bars being bloody fagots hang outs.

There is one bar thats owned by someone that bats for the other side and I drink with is brother and sister in law from time to time. Nicest couple you will ever meet.

And yes I have been accused of being homophobic and racist on the odd occasion

Just added the disco we found last night. None of my friends know or knew about this one until a Spanish friend said she was going there.

This place is massive. And its on par with a disco you would find in the UK. I still want to call a disco a night club, but over they have two totally different meanings.

Its easy to find and with in easy walking distance of the British bars at the top end of Catral high street. The directions and location have been added to the first post

This one explains why the other disco bars in the area are dead. There is nothing else in the area that can match this place for size alone.

One of the best finds in the village so far for a good night out and a late drink. The staff from the other late bars drink there
