Post Number 1 | Ever since I arrived here 3 1/2 years ago I have been bemused by the Spanish system for dealing with roundabouts. The mini-roundabout is obviously a free for all, but the bigger ones are something of a concern.
I have witnessed driving school cars and police cars take the right hand lane when turning left. They then drive, very slowly, around the perimeter of the roundabout before narrowly avoiding being T-Boned by me, going straight on and using the left hand lane.
Further enquiries have revealed that the left hand lane is usually reserved for those doing a u-turn.
What kind of madness is this? A lane specifically for the purpose that no-one does? Does anyone have any other ideas why this may be?
When I first found a roundabout up North in Galicia, no-one knew how to deal with it so it was very random. Now they seem to be teaching new road users a very bizzare method,
