| If any member has an airgun and wishes to post pictures of it, add them onto this thread. All my own air guns pictured here are fully legal to own in Spain, with no licence or fire arms certificate needed To check on the airgun laws in Spain, along with further information about owning, buying, finding airgun shops and finding clubs to shoot at, please visit my web site which has information covering most aspects about the subject Airguns In Spain. Every thing you need to know about air guns in Spain My own collection or remains of my collection as it is, is posted below. I am as far as I am aware, the owner of one of the biggest Brocock air cartridge air gun collections out side of the UK. As well as the brocock air cartridge airguns, you will find find pictures of my target shooting air rifles along with a couple of pistols And anyone who has landed on the forum from the airguns in Spain web site, these are the same air guns pictured in the gallery there You will also notice my own pictures fall in the category of naff to say the least. No point in taking good pictures, people will only link to them or unscrupulous people might try using the pictures for fraudulent sales

Unlike the UK Brocock air cartridge air rifles and air pistols are legal to own and use in Spain. There is one on line shop I know of in Spain that still sells them. The UK law on ownership of Brocock air cartridge airguns is a totally different matter Back in 2004 the UK government banned the ownership of Brocock air cartridge air guns unless they were put on the owners fire arms certificate. This led to an influx of people applying for fire arms certificates, who before the ban had no need for one, let alone considered even applying to own a fire arm The owners of the guns were given a limited time to apply for their UK fire arms certificate, those that did not had to hand their Brocock tac guns in for destruction. Those that had their guns registered are still limited on what they can do with the guns. Being caught in possession of an unregistered fire arm in the UK can carry a five year prison sentence. So by making the ownership of these airguns illegal has suddenly made many unaware law abiding people people, potential villains Registered owners of Brocock tac guns in the UK can not buy, sell, or swap these guns and need to keep their fire arms certificate up to date to carry on owning the guns If for any reason the registered owner dies, falls ill etc, these guns can not legally be transfered to another persons name, ie living relative or family member They were banned from general sale after the press started an over zealous campaign to ban the guns after several were reported to have been converted in to live fire. But as with anything to do with the press in the UK very little evidence was shown to prove this was the case. With black market guns being readily available, who in their right mind would pay over £200 for a gun thats designed to shoot compressed air and has the risk of blowing up and dismembering the person pulling the triggers hand. If they did I doubt they would still be able to stick two fingers up to the law Only the ownership of the guns were banned. The air cartridges can still be legally owned and purchased As common sense prevails, this has got to be one of the single most stupid parts of the Brocock air cartridge air gun laws in the UK. Its like banning all guns but still allowing sale of bullets to anyone off the street There were some home office figures published at one stage showing how many Brocock air cartridge air rifles and pistols were made and sold against the amount that were registered before the deadline. I am pretty sure off the top of my head it was about 3% of the total that were legally registered The Brocock air cartridge airguns were versatile in design, with the simplicity of the air cartridge system they were able to make rifles and pistols that looked and felt like real guns. But with each single reusable air cartridge costing about £6 or £7 each, they were not the cheapest airguns to use. And not the type of gun you would want to use anywhere, if there was any possibility of loosing a cartridge Last edited by Lee; 03-10-2007 at 05:02 PM..

This is one of my own personal favourite looking Brocock tac guns Unfortunately due to my own idiocy, the stock has some cosmetic damage, hence the side of the rifle the picture is taken from. The rifle is a fully working replica of the 1866 yellow boy down to the side loading and top ejection of used tac cartridges Technical specification of the rifle Barrel Length 19"(48.0cm), Calibre: .22(5.5mm), Cartridge: BAC .38/.22, Muzzle Velocity: 598ft/s(182m/s), Trigger: 2 stage adj, Capacity: 6 shot, Overall Length: 38.5"(98cm), Weight: 7.4lb(3.4kg), Finish: Blued, Brass, Walnut stock

The brocock predator as with all the other brocock air cartridge airguns shows just how versatile the brocock tac system was design in rifles This is a true bolt action air rifle The magazines are listed as being a six shot capacity, but I find any more than five cartridges loaded in one go and you get a lot of jams Since the air source for each shot is held in the air cartridges, the weight of the air rifle is kept to a minimum Technical specifications Barrel Length 17.7"(45.0cm) Calibre: .22(5.5mm) Cartridge: BAC .22 Muzzle Velocity: 598ft/s(182m/s) Trigger: 2 stage adj. Capacity: 6 shot magazine Overall Length: 38.0"(96.5cm) Weight: 6.5lb(3.1kg)

The brocock fox is probably one of the lightest air rifles ever made Designed as as a single shot take down air rifle Loading of the Brocock fox is done by unscrewing the stock from the barrel and then pushing the a single brocock tac in. The trigger again is simplicity, just a simple hinged piece of metal that pushes into the air cartridge when squeezed Technical specifications Barrel Length 14.7"(37.5cm) Calibre: .22(5.5mm) Cartridge: BAC .22 Muzzle Velocity: 598ft/s(182m/s) Trigger: Folding fixed Capacity: Single shot Overall Length: 31.0"(79cm) Weight: 2.65lb(1.2kg) Finish: Blued steel, Steel stock

Brocock Para PPK 380 Unlike the other brocock air cartridge airguns shown above, this one uses a micro tac, about half the size of the normal size air cartridge. I believe the early models of this air pistol were blow back capable This one, unfortunately you have to pull the top slide back each time to load and chamber each air cartridge Technical Specification Barrel Length: 3" (7.6cm), Calibre: .22(5.5mm), Cartridge: BAC Micro .380/.22, Muzzle Velocity: 300ft/s(98m/s), Trigger: Double Action, Capacity: 7 shot, Overall Length: 6.7"(17cm), Weight: 1.45lb(0.66kg), Finish: Nickel, Black composite grip
