I have just seen the advert in the papers titled "defend your home and family" and after a period of belly laughing, thought I better give more insight into the deadly weapon

First off about the gun in question. It shoots both rubber balls and paint balls.
The power quoted is 2.5 joules, you can flick bogeys harder than this thing fires.
Being a dual purpose paint ball and rubber ball, it gives some idea to how hard you get hit. At best it might leave a bruise if it hits you.
Its nice and quiet when it shoots. Bloody hell, I should use something that makes a loud bang, not something that makes a quiet phut to scare a burglar.
Just to add more insult, one UK gun club has a copy of the advert on their joke board.
Base ball bats and pick axe handles are a lot cheaper and do a lot more damage.
If you do buy one, please only use it for target shooting. Dont try and defend yourself with it, it wont work.
You can also buy airguns in Spain, that shoot at 18ft/lbs as opposed to 1.8ft/lbs the above pistol shoots at and they are a lot cheaper.
If you are interested in shooting, post any question on the shooting section on here. We have both a UK registered firearms dealer and a Mookman who has passed his Spanish firearms certificate.
As for my own interest in posting this warning, I own one of the biggest collections of a certain type of airgun outside of the UK.
