The Santiago de la Ribera Carnival will take place on February 21st, and has invited any other groups from throughout the region who would like to take part in the celebrations. The invitation includes prizes of up to 1,000 euros, for the best costumes, which promise to give the participants of Rio de Janeiro a run for their money. The parade will commence at 4pm-ish, from the beach, and will work its way up to San Javier along the main roads. For further information about entry requirements see
