Dense fog over Los Rodeos airport in the north of Tenerife since 9am this morning has so far forced the cancellation of three flights.
Six others flights - from La Gomera, El Hierro, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote - were diverted to Tenerife Sur airport in the south.
One flight from Gran Canaria was forced to turn back while outbound flights to La Palma, Fuerteventura and El Hierro were unable to take off.
