The spirit of Torry lives on, in spite of all the financial problems the players have encountered over the last few weeks it's clear that it will not affect the spirit that exists within the squad as they continue to march forward with now two back to back wins and their first away win of the season against 4th placed Barrio Cristo. The lads gave a shining display of football and a determination to win against all the odds.A goal midway through the second half by Piquero, his second in two matches, earned Torry all three points to take them 10th in the league, but it was a masterful display of passing football that had the travelling Torry Army fans applauding their new style as they matched the opposition in all departments. At half time you had to wonder who was the home side as Torry continued to control and pass the ball around the park.The last 20 minutes saw the visitors hammered against the ropes as they hung on for victory with a magnificent display of defending and a resolute team performance which wantedvictory more than anything else. This display proves the team has both ability and spirit unequalled in this division.As the game entered it's final phase Piquero had to be substituted with a leg injury. Indeed he had to be replaced by David the reserve keeper playing in midfield, that's how determined this side is to win against all the odds.On Sunday 29th November Torry are at home to Ribarroja at the new kick-off time of 4.30pm.
