Police officers searched a private residence in Madrid yesterday under suspicion it was being used for drug trafficking activities, and encountered a large arsenal of illegal weapons, including a rocket launcher.
The officers entered the Latina neighbourhood home connected to two Spanish nationals, aged 50, and 44, looking for evidence of drug dealing.
Upon searching the premises, they found around 700 grams of cocaine, 400 grams of hash and drug-weighing and cutting equipment. The search also turned up an unexpected weapons stash comprising a rocket launcher, a howitzer, several rifles, pistols, and machetes.
The two men have been charged with public health offences.
