Elche CF have announced their new season ticket prices for 2008/9, and appear to have held them at last years levels. These are very competitive in comparison to UK prices. Prices range from 50 euros for young children at either end of the ground, right through to 360 euros for adults for the best covered seats in the main stand. Season tickets can be purchased between 10 am and 2 pm, and 5 ? 7 pm at the Martinez Valero stadium at gate six, telephone enquiries 96 545 6603 or 96 545 9714.*Elche finished last season in a very respectable 10th place and most supporters would have settled for that at the beginning of last season. The real story, however, was very disappointing in a season which promised much, especially in the first half. At one time, Elche reached third place which, of course, would have seen their promotion to La Liga this season. What confused many supporters was Elche?s terrific performances against the top teams, only to lose the following week to lowly inferior opposition. Injuries to key players also took their toll as the Illicitano?s began to slip down the table in the last few months to conclude the season just in the top half of the table.
