Hartley built up a 21 - 1 lead after 10 ends but then took their foot of the peddle to score only 3 more points on the last 8 ends. 24 - 16.J. Blunt, J. Kerr, M. Blunt. After picking up a 5 on the 9th end the Horadada trio gradually pulled away to win 25 - 10.M. Rosamund, Isabelle, A. Pugh. After a nervous start, Alan was able to steady his team and they pulled away for a comfortable victory (good start for new girl Isabelle) 22 - 11.T. Hucknall, B. Eatough, M. Stacey. Another close game up till the 8th end* but steady scoring by the Horadada trio* from then on eased them to victory. 28 - 12.J. Hurlock, M. Maxted, G. Galelli. After 9 ends the Horadada trio were 8 shots in front and with the home side winning only 2 more ends. Horadada went into top gear winning 31 - 10.Y. Hurlock, A. Hartley, B. Evans. another one sided affair, and with the home side winning only 5 ends Barry and his girls had a thumping victory,(made sweeter by playing against old boy d lodge)next time del boy.!! 27 - 6.Horadada (157 shots) 14 points v Lemon Tree (65 shots) 0 points.*This week the Hawks entertained 3rd placed La Marina Navigators but despite winning 4 rinks could only collect 8 points, just enough to move above the navigators, and with 2 remaining home games against lower teams the Hawks are hoping to consolidate third place. Despite leading 8 - 1 after 4 ends, going into the last end both teams were level but a brilliant first wood from Yvonne to sit on the jack was enough to secure the points.18 - 17.B. Eatough, T.
