We returned to one of our regular and favourite venues on a beautiful sunny day to play an individual Stableford Competition. Conditions were ideal and the course was in its usual immaculate condition and many good scores were returned. However the definite highlight of the day was a hole in one recorded on 5th Hole by Mike Swinnerton, his first, and only the second which anyone can remember being scored on one of our Society days since our formation in 1991. Many congratulations to Mike and thanks for his generosity in ensuring that all players received a complimentary drink at the Club House after play in keeping with time honoured tradition. I hope that he will be able to claim on his insurance!
