I have just spent what seems like forever on the blimmin computer looking at flights.
My granddaughter is coming over on the 20 of this month and my son is bringing her. The cost of the flight was 110 pounds for both when they booked 4 weeks ago ( same flight is now 216 pounds )
I can get my daughter over here for 30€ on the 19th August........so she can take my granddaughter back to UK ( she is 12 so can't go on here own....besides my daughter could do with a break ! )
ALL the flights I've found are over 100 pounds each ( for 1st Sept )
Why is this ?? It seems cheap to get out here BUT they know we have to get back to UK...........so is it a sprat to catch a mackeral???

You can get on the email offer list of easyjet and monarch. They do the odd reduced flight from time to time.

That web sites shows all the current flight prices, no need to visit twenty airlines web sites.

I blame global warming, just ask anyone still in the UK what its like there today with the global warming in full effect

I was just about to suggest that site. However I have found recently that a flight will come up with a price of say 40 but when you get towards the booking stages its actually 90.

We are supposed to believe this is because the prices havent been checked for a few day but I dont think it is.

I have found that too AND I've still not got it all sorted out !!

Try searching google for flight comparison sites. there are a few around but have always found that skyscanner helps to find the best times to fly and who with roughly speaking

In the end, the kids caught the ALSA bus from torrevieja to Madrid, 32€ eacg, 5 hour ride with one stop ( loo on board bus ), Taxi from Madrid bus station to airport ( 25€ for 3 ) three hour wait at madrid airport and plane from Madrid to East Midlands ( 27€ inc taxes )...............so the three of them got back for less than the flight price for one of them !!

My OH and I have to go to UK tomorrow till Sunday on personal business and it's costing nearly 1000€ return for 2 of us.
