The responsibilities of a Material Control include, but are not limited to:
- Plan and execute the material control or procurement of engineered equipment, systems, and construction materials in support of project operations within established Material Management Plans, policies, and procedures.
- Procure engineered equipment and materials in accordance with the Material Management Plan.
- Evaluate, select, and route material shipments in accordance with procedures and criteria of the applicable project.
- Use corporate material management resources to support project operations.
- Work closely with project management in developing expediting status reports and coordinating activities of an assigned group of expediters.
- Coordinate and perform shop expediting of materials and equipment
Job Requirements:
The preferred candidate should have:
- 6-8 years of related experience for individual with a college degree obtained at least 5 years previously.
- 8-10 years of related experience for individual without a college degree.
- Experience should be primarily in the area of material management.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
