Until today I admit to having no idea the Costa Blanca Hospice association existed. We have had their chairman join, a member on here by the name of Henry
With the present moans and groans circulating the internet about our rights to watch illegally broadcast television and how hot it is, many people do not see the good being done in Spain.
For many people finding that such organisations like the Costa Blanca hospice association exist can come to late in life.
So who are they and what do they do.
The Costa Blanca hospice association have been promoting palliative care in Spain since 1996
A bit about them taken from their web site
Quote:
What Is Palliative Care?
“Palliative care is the active total care of patients whose disease is not responsive to curative treatment.
Control of pain, of other symptoms, and of psychological, social and spiritual problems is paramount.
The goal of palliative care is the achievement of the best possible quality of life for patients and their families.”
World Health Organization. Technical Report Series 804, Cancer Pain and Palliative Care. Geneva: World Health Organization 1990:11.

You will find information about them, what they do for those who are nearing their final days along with ways in which you can help them.
Their web site is as I say, very informative and worth spending
time visiting.
Henry not only joined the forums, but also kindly asked me to look over their web site for an honest opinion. To be honest I was and still am fully humbled by his offer.
