We keep hearing of the British feeling like unwanted leppers in Spain.
OK the crack down on illegal British cars is well over due.
The messing about with bank accounts and not telling people they have been frozen is another questionable recent development.
Cancelling of mobile phones because when they were purchased, they were not registered properly.
The list goes on.
Whats got to me, is two recent stories I have heard with regard to the law.
Guy came back to his car after going shopping.
Slashed tyre. As he is replacing the tyre some one pointed to a guy going through his car.
He chased after them, they jumped into a waiting car and sped off.
He got the vehicle make, model, colour and registration.
He reported it to the police and got asked if they stole anything.
His reply was nothing and their reply was there was no crime committed.
Another instance.
The police found a Moroccan burglar. He went to court. One of the victims an English widow gave evidence at the hearing.
The judge let the guy go.
Reason given, they are not wanted anywhere in Europe, the thief had no home in Spain, so what could the judge do.
And with the recession kicking in, its only going to get worse
