Hi all!
My family and I are moving over to the Almoradi-Catral area at the beginning of February and would appreciate any hints and tips that any expats can offer?
I will be over for 1 week from the 12th January 2009 to find a long term let, so if you would like to meet for a coffee please let me know and hopefully we can get together. You never know where your next friendship may start, so just say "Yes, man".
Also anything that would help our 2 girls integrate (8 & 11) into the area would be great e.g. after school clubs etc.
I will also be looking for some work once we are settled. I have a degree in Business, am a qualified and experienced ESOL teacher and have recently completed some AAT qualifications. So if you know of anyone who might be able to make use of me, I would appreciate if you could let me know.
Thanks Iain

First off hi and welcome

There is an expats club meets in Dolores every Tuesday morning from 10:30am to 12:30 at The Wishing Well.

Great place to pick up tips on the area and meet new people.

Lynda who runs the Brits club also teaches Spanish lessons and has kids about the age of yours.

Lynda is a godsend in her own right, with the help and support she has given to people moving into the area, but dont let her know I said that.

Fire away with any questions, there are one or two of us from the area. Scotty, another of the moderators is a local guy who has a true wealth of information about the area along with quite a few other members.
