TO OBTAIN A ‘RESIDENT’S CERTIFICATE’ Step 1 You need to obtain a Bank paying-in slip called Modelo 790. When we looked into this and started the ball rolling, you obtained both bits of paper work on the first trip to the police station.
Took the bank slip and payed at a local bank and got it stamped there
We were told that at the time, they did a limited amount of residencias each day and people were getting to the Police station we were going to use in Elche at 5 or 6am to start q'ing
But I have since heard that some have got away with turning up at 9am, receiving a time to return and the process only taking a short period once you return
