There have been a lot of rumours going round the forums since the onset of Telmicro removing their broadcasts.

The main line of thought seemed to revolve around tax evasion.

With all the dirty tricks that have been played by some suppliers to remove TM receiving kit etc

Is Telmicro telling people that all re broadcasters will stop broadcasting the prime channels a ploy to stop the remaining customers jumping ship and changing supplier.

I don't care what they broadcast, I'm desperate enough to watch the bloody care bears at present to give me a break from the PC

Mean time I'm bringing my winter project forward a few months, starting to buy licences and software today, then I can sit back and say Balls To It.

Which is the title of my new project

finally got something on the screen , but only the same scintillating channels as everyone else will wait with baited breath to see how long (if ever) it is until there is some interesting content on the box. until then it's the radio and the PC for me

Hi, I have just been over to the transmitter and its still all locked up and sealed with guardia tape however, there was a technical guy there doing some work with some coax cable, anyway while we were there we found out from another person who works for the company, that the rebroadcasting of BBC and ITV was for the court to decide, no surprises there then! as thats what everyone has been saying... Im no legal expert but if that is the case then the courts answer should be a straight forward no, which in turn means all these other rebroadcasters could have problems as the rule would be the same for everyone.

So like so many have been saying, here and in the press do not spend your hard earned money on another system that may come to a sticky end and lose your money!

I hope this info is helpful

Going by what Coast Rider said about Torresat
http://www.thespainforum.com/f271/to...70/#post147486

Would you change supplier?

One of the shops that sells the Sky TV cards has reported on the internet, that they have been visited by Guardia Civil and been told not to supply the cards anymore or face being shut down.

The plot thickens

Latest Telmicro Statement Tues 2nd September

Telmicro Levante S.L. has been through three very turbulent and testing weeks since they were forced to cease transmission. The reason for this situation was due to the company transmitting certain channels for the benefit of its clients. During this week, Telmicro Levante will be starting to broadcast a service again. They have already started and clients on the Los Montesinos transmitter have been receiving some channels since last Saturday and it is Telmicro Levante's intention to be broadcasting to as many of their clients as possible by the end of this week.

There will be certain channels missing from the company's package, however they have been given full permission to restart broadcasting. To begin with, it will be a restricted service comprising of channels that the company has been contracted to re-transmit. These channels are the ones Telmicro's clients have got to know very well over the last year; such as the MGM, Cinestar and Xtrm film channels, the Sci-fi channel, Calle 13, Fox, National Geographic, etc. In edition, Telmicro will be showing some of the Spanish terrestrial programs. The company is now working hard to contract even more channels that will appeal to their client base and hope to bring them a wide and varied choice of channels to suit the whole family.
