if Sky / news corp do but cd, it will not mean you get sky sports on CD systems. it will more likely mean a rebrand of the CD chnnels from Canal Deportes to somehting like Sky Espania Deportes. Most of the channels on Sky UK are already on CD+ anyway, discovery, nat geo, mtv, and the movies on sky UK are on cd+ movie service also.....

see sky italia in italy - they have Sky Sports Italia....but down show the darts, or super league for example...
So are CD a satellite broadcaster or a digital TV provider?
If so are they broadcast in English and what equipment, fee's etc are involved in moving to them?

Sid, people will start thinking I'm more of geek than I already portray here
Have you got a copy of Das Boat with you? I remember seeing it in the UK after your recommendation and for a subtitled film showing the war from the Germans side, it was top class.

I've got the DVD back in the UK, I'll do you a copy. It's the proper long version with subtitles rather than the short dubbed one.

Das Boot is based in part on a true story - Iron Coffins - written by a guy called Herbert Werner. Well worth a read.

No TV will mean more people drinking beer while waiting on their new dishes being delivered.

High demand for dishes will cause mass hysteria amongst the expats as they cant view emerdale or the other load of garbage called east enders

One installer who is a friend of a friend, reckons he received more than 100 phone calls today alone. He also heard that when Telmicro were raided, so were several other broadcasters in the area. True or false, I have no idea

Would like some advise if anybody has gone through the same scenario as me.
On monday had a fella come and install Telmicro Receiver gave hin 460 euros, which included 6 months perscription, then the next day they get raided. I would say the fella who installed the works at my apartment did not have time to pay Telmicro the money i gave him, of course his phone has been off ever since. Whjaty can i do with reagrd to getting this up and running with another company, or do you think Telmicro might get things up and running again.

You can try taking out a suma against him in a hope of getting your money back. But as the saying goes that annoys the hell out of me "this is Spain"

One question that sprigs to mind, if they are hitting Telmicro for tax evasion, does this mean all the builders etc etc are next

not going to happen.

sky sports own programme rights for the uK and the uK only
canal+ own rights to show programmes in span and spain only.

most sports on sky sports are already on canal+ sports channels and vice versa.
most movies on sky movies are already on canal+ movie channels and vice versa.
many channels on sky are on c+ already (discovery, nat geo etc).

sky sports will not be able to show premiership football in spain - as i think TVE has sole spanish the rights again this year.

sky, or rather news corp, are one of serveral potential buyers of c+, if the current owners decide to sell. if this does happen, then most likely c+ will be rebranded to sky espania. that is all. look at sky italia as an example - this uses the sky brand but does not have uk specific channels like UK Gold...

Loads of rumours still circulating the internet from

All the pirate TV stations will be shut down

to

Telemicro will be back up and running again over the next few days to a week

There are still very few hard facts given about what is going on.

If they do return, as many of us hope, what kind of damage limitation will they have to put in place.
Many people have said that they have cancelled their direct debits.
Could you ever trust their service or any other similar service again
How many people would not bother renewing when their contracts finish

If you was them, would you chance being able to rebuild your customer loyalty or just walk away calling it the end to a good days work that went wrong at the end.

A lot of people have been blaming the installers for part of the problems and taking their money right up until the last moment. These guys were in the dark as much as the rest of us and are now without an income.

People are blaming Telmicro for the whole scenario. All they did was provide a service. We all knew what they were doing was not legal and we all gave our money to them. If we had not, they would not have prospered to the company they were/ are

Who cares. I'm so desperate, I could watch east enders. Well maybe not that desperate but you get the idea. Given the choice of east enders or tele tubbies, I would go with the more believable story line.

Tele tubies it is then
