We are looking at DIY satellite set up if they are not back by Monday. Go for freeview with 200 channels. Be nice having interactive TV again

Mid September is the the estimated time of return of Telmicro television broadcasts.

They now have an operational telephone line and email.

People are reporting that they have phoned and emailed Telmicro and been told to expect the return in mid September.

If this is true, just how much damage will occur to their client base and will it be worth them restarting.

They are also now saying to those that enquire, that its to do with certain channels they were broadcasting thats put them in hot water

Still no further news on Telmicro

Their court case is due to start on September 1st

They are supposedly aiming to be back mid September, but speculation puts it more like late September. As yet no year has been mentioned, after all, this is Spain we are talking about.

I would tend to agree that rebroadcasting has an uncertain future and therefore the best way forward has to be by having your own dish!

If the above rumours are true, this could lead to a broadcasters set too.

What can TM offer their customers to bring them back?

Will it lead to an undercutting price way, each reducing prices to undercut each other and try to gain either customers back or more customers

If another company has been removing TM gear, how will TM stand if they ask for that gear to be returned and they do return it. Would any laws have been broken or will it just be classed as the gear being uninstalled and being a nice company, they have saved TM engineers going round peoples houses to uninstall the kit and have it all ready for collection in one location.

This could go in any direction at present, if and when TM can get back on air

Its the sheer abundance of members posting on here, why we keep just the one thread

We still have no TV, tried turning the mesh dish toward Montesinos earlier and picked up no signal.

Be interesting to see what happens next.

Satellite engineers with surplus dishes, cancelled installs. Or those that have booked installs following through with the orders to get hassle free TV

Turf way between the TM type TV suppliers

What will happen to all the TM kit removed by some installers and will the home owners face any kind of billing for not being in possession of the equipment. Or will there be too many to take any action against

There could be a fair few thousand less customers by the time they get fully functional and a few thousand more looking at the alternatives.

We still fully intend to go for a dish, no matter what. You get your money back in two to three years, plus have better TV

Couple of other things

Why only announce your rebroadcasting a day before your court case

As far as I can gather, all their main offices were still taped up yesterday

So they are hoping for a good day in court. Or its a simple case they are facing.

What people want to see is the BBC and ITV from what I can gather, so why not put them back on, but unless im mistaken it very clear why!
