The main thing I remember with your property web site, when you let me have a little look behind the scenes was it needs a windows based server.

I don't recall it being an over large web site so a couple of gigs to ten gigs tops is all thats needed space wise, that way you have room to grow. Bandwidth needed again could be another issue depending on how many hits you take each month. My web sites at present do about 40 gig a month and I run a few.

The best place to look for web space offers is a forum where geeks and nerds like me hang out talking nothing more than internet web space service providers.

Web Hosting Forum - Web Hosting Talk - The largest, most influential web hosting community on the Internet

The guys there know their stuff. Give it the damsel in distress and no doubt a geek in shining armour or a nerd with a pen pocket protector will come to your rescue. Joke if those guys read the last comment.

They are one of the very best resources of information on the internet when it comes to all things web server related.

Don't bother looking at the dedicated server deals, you wont need one, same with the VPS or Virtual Private Sever deals.

Look at the shared hosting deals forum and see what offers there meet your budget and requirements. If need be, send me a link to a deal your interested in and I will have a dig around to see if the company are good or bad.

People know I'm a bit of a "Walter Mitty" on the internet in some places, on there I'm "Some one else" I change my name to protect the innocent

As with Spain, internet hosting can be all to easy to get ripped off with. This forum suffered a similar fate. I lost a years worth of hard work when I got scammed by a scum bag. Hence a name change and change of URL back in April last year

I have two websites, both on servers in the Uk, and twice this year I have been unable to view one of them from Spain.

Having done some digging it would seem that our 'friends' at Telefonica randomly block UP addresses for no good reason. In the first instance I got my hosting company to change the server I was on, but the second time they said they could not upgrade my account any further.

Annoyingly you could see the website anywhere except from Spain via a Telefonica account.

I notice that you are using a host in the UK that is probably one of the worst (IMO) - i would also suggest that telefonia may block IPs from your host if there are bad sites on the same server as you.

there are loads of good UK hosts, budget hosts inc webfusion, easily, 1&1 (although be careful with these as their servers are in Germany - but that depends on where you want your site to show in search engines. ie if you have a com url and host in germany you won't get listed in uk (google.co.uk)
