Default Wind turbines, alternative power source

Not strictly Spain related.

But which magazine in the UK purchased a wind turbine for generating electricity as an alternative power source

Which magazine purchased one for testing, and after spending 12 months getting the requisite planning permission, they tested the output over 7 months.

Overall, it used more electricity than it generated due to power losses in the inverter, necessary to convert the output to 240v AC.

Not a good result

Is there anybody working on home produced power in the Alicante area?

I will be moving to Spain as soon as I sell my house here in the UK and as there is all that free energy available it seems a shame not to use it.
I'm not talking about PV systems, but solar thermal.

I recently discovered a Swiss website describing a site in Australia in the 80s [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

As expats in Spain come from varied backgrounds, I wondered if anybody is doing anything similar.

Any idea what the local regulations are.
I.e. Planning permissions etc..

I quite fancy having a go at building a Linear Fresnel Reflector like
