Does anyone know someone who can sort my lap top and printer out.

Couple of things you can try doing is a virus scan. AVG free edition is good and kills a lot of spy ware that slows a PC down
AVG Free - Download AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition for Windows XP and Vista

Along with a hard disk defragmentation.
If your running windows XP

Click on start
Hold mouse over All programs
Hold mouse over Accessories
Hold mouse over System Tools
Click on Disk Defragmenter

That should also map out and bad sectors on the hard drive
