So now its just a case of shopping around for the best offer on the gear needed, including shipping over from the UK if needed.

From what I have seen on the official Telmicro announcement, the courts could take any amount of time due to the candid description of what they are there for.

That sounds like all re broadcasters could face the same depending on the outcome of their own case

a word in case you are shipping from the UK.
although they are cheaper, many big "petal" dishes do not perform like their equivient aluminium one piece counterparts - one installer said that a 2.4m petal dish performas about as well as a 1.35m dish.....

Next question, in our quest for what seem as common as rockin horse sh1t, can anyone recommend a supplier of satellite dishes or an installers that sells them people for self install?

Seems they are about as common as an English person that speaks Spanish at present

you could try DSS in Finestrat somewhere near carrefour...they have ads in some of the local press also (i think i have seen them in round town news) and are the only ones i know of close to you....as i say i operate more north of benidorm...

Jon, more advice needed re satellite dishes

Whats is an off set dish
Been told a UK supplier can do these for about £100

Are all dishes made in china and just rebadged Portugal

Do they come as one big lump or are they bits you fit together?

One company locally sell DIY kits, but do not deliver. If the dishes come in bits, would one fit in a glorified estate car

I believe they are one and the same as Digital Satellite Systems

They must be DSS is a cut down version of their name plus they have an office or depot in Finestrat

From memory, without looking at the advert in the paper, their showroom is open until 16:30 Monday to Friday

Same company we used for our system to be installed. Very good service and customer back up

Just had a look at their advert Martin and it only shows their Finestrat address.

And they are one of the few company's that don't have a web site either.
