Sol Productions have released a new Telmicro Statement 09.09.08

Quote:
Telmicro Statement 09.09.08

Telmicro have removed the TV system to do final checks and preparation due to the inconsistency of the recent re connecting of the different areas, therefore the official re launch to re introduce the new tv package will be on Tuesday 16th of September.

Telmicro apologise to its clients and thank them for their patience.

Unfortunately due to the La Marina office still being out of action this may still take a little while longer to be re launched.

We at Sol Productions obviously support and feel for Telmicro and as we are an independent production company, until transmit ion through Telmicro is resumed you can watch your favourite programs of our website Home - Costa Blanca TV - Sol Productions, and we will also upload Telmicros statements through our website.

if it is a legit satellite system, you will get more than 20 channels, there are over 200 plus on any satellite!!

if sky sports is coming directly from sky then you must be paying sky atleast 36 quid a month, and have an offical sky viewing card.

me thinks he has pointed a dish at a rebroadcasting signal...

This was the message Guy private messaged me with this morning

Quote:
Well the signal that everyone has been picking up with a dish from AKI Leroy Merlin's e etc has just started to be encrypted and one one channel it is showing adverts of the companies that have been ripping off their signal.

they are also saying that over the next few days its all going to be scrambled....

So not good news for those people who have been caught out by it all!
From what I can gather the Television channel choice is limited to the following

BBC1
ITV
ITV2
Ch4
Ch5
UKTV GOLD
Hallmark
FX
Discovery
TMC
Commedy
Life TV
Cartoon Network
Show Movies 1
Show Movies 2
Sentana 1
Sentana 2
Show Sport 1
Show Sport 2

There has been mention of two things that might give more idea
Some satellite dishes have been installed upside down or they point land wards and not up at the sky as you would expect.

Another dead give away that Guy mentioned in another post
Quote:
UK gold and Setanta sports are included as these are pay per view

RIGHT...................

I know this will be a 'dumb blonde' question, especially as Guy has gone to great pains to explain all this to me already......................BUT............

What is this little box thingy with which I am told we can 'catch' the freeview stuff and get 20 or 45 chanels ( NO SKY THOUGH )? Apparently we live near a mast from which we can get a good signal.
How 'legal' is that ?

Is re broadcasting when the signal is caught by a company and they rebroadcast it and charge a monthly fee ?

PLEASE answer in simple terms, I am, in fact, only a woman !

Did Guy mention using your existing ariel?

By the sounds of it, he was talking about the Spanish freeview or digital television broadcasts in Spain.

I think you originally posted about someone buying a box from Carrefour or one of the diy stores that plugs onto your existing ariel

A lot of the television channels are broadcast in Spanish and the original country's language

As for the new text to speech button. Its to make the forums more accessible to those with poor eyesight, reading difficulties etc
Other forums that are using the feature have commented on people with dyslexia finding it helps them.
It was posted on a web site that has programmers specialising in doing add on's for the forum software used here. Anything that makes the forums more user friendly is a bonus in my opinion

Hi Lee.
Guy has explained his system to me, but the one I'm refering to in my last post is from a different chap....................

What is this little box thingy with which I am told we can 'catch' the freeview stuff and get 20 or 45 chanels ( NO SKY THOUGH )? Apparently we live near a mast from which we can get a good signal.
How 'legal' is that ?

PLEASE answer in simple terms, I am, in fact, only a woman !

I'm just trying to sort through the mass of info I have and wanting to keep it all legal and relatively pain free !!

AND I agree about the voice benifits.

Find out what channels the guy says you can receive from the transmitter.

Bluff your way through it calling back saying "I'm sorry my husbands a sports fan, I forgot to ask whats sports channels you said we would receive" or something along those lines.

Or "you have several people that might be interested in the deal, but you forgot what channels are on offer"

Guy mentioned that the installers offering hooky TV will get you a package that includes Sentana sports 1 and Sentana sports 2. If the guy also mentions UK TV Gold, you know to steer well clear

Its a pity Guy is not about to give more insight

Lee, what do you mean by 'hooky' TV ?

the chanels you mention are in his list.

If this is free to view...........why steer clear ???

I really don't understand this...............if the signal is being 'caught ' from say, Hotbird, is that illegal too ?

If we are given the freeview box which catches the signal and we have the little box thing ...is that still a re broadcast ??

Sorry to seem so dumb, it's just that I am.
