if the price also includes a decent receiver then it sounds good...
do you know what receiver this includes..a SD or HD (standard or high definition, sky or freesat, multicam (not a sky box but can read sky cards!).
and also the size of the dish would be useful..and if it is prime or offset (is the lNB in the centre of the dish or at an offset angle to the dish)

a 1.2 or 1/4m dish will pick up a lot of channels.
you may struggle with a 1.2 or 1.4 to keep the main bbc and itvs for all day, and as far as i am aware RTEs are on a similar frequency as bbc2, or even with a 1.8m dish you will / may not get these 24/7.
many of the other free tv channels will tend to be "text and sex" channels...
some of the "400 - 600" channels the dish will be able toreceive will only be viewable with a sky subscription card.

as with most things it may be an idea to check out the name of the install company on the web or in a thread like this where there are some recommendations or horror stories...and maybe go and have a look at one of his installations to see if he is a "neat and tidy" installer or if he just leaves cables lying around.
hope this helps....
