Satellite telvions conmen and scams

 

I didn't mean YOU were to be named and shamed Guy..............i meant name and shame the 'iilegal' bloke charging 400€.

well, it happened over the past 2 weeks and cumulated in the big switch today...first some "adult entertainment" channels went to NDS / N3, then today all of the others went.....

 

I was in Torresats office yesterday to make a major complaint, I won´t say what it was about as they would recognise it, however while I was there everyone that came in was complaining, I mean everyone !!

 

if u want to establish satellite tv , u need to get good satellite distributor. first u find good company for that.

We were informed that in areas of San Luis, La Marina and a few places in between a rogue installer was promising freesat TV for a one off payment.

What he was doing was realigning Telmicros equipment to point to the unencrypted Simulsat signal - which was fine whilst its unencrypted. The upshot of this was when Simulsat started encrypting some channels - most lost a large portion of their channels.

You cannot receive the main terrestrial channels without subscription costs, unless you are receiving the signal directly from Astra - you will require an appropriate dish size for your location - between 1.45 - 2.4 metres.

Is this a scam? your still getting UK Tv but not the best channels.
