This was dipping your toe in the water as such and seeing what kind of feed back there was.
If you have an idiot breaking into your house and they know that real guns are legal. They are not going to stop and ask if the AK47 being pointed at them is real or a Sid conversion. And if it goes bang, they will run just that bit faster
They will be more interested in a sharp exit to change their pants.
Then you have the novelty value. I have a Uberty Yellow Boy here which is fully authentic down to weight etc but fires the Brocock tacs as opposed to live ammo. Great for wall display, plus fun for the garden.
So you then have a display item which is not a deac, goes bang but don't kill
There was an M16 on egun once that had the blow back or what ever you call it, fully functional with the tacs.
Imagine the grin factor of something like that

Lee,
I suppose El Cid might find a niche market here amongst British expat shooters here ... (I heard the figure of 1 million Brit expats live in Spain ...bandied about ....would that be correct?)......
what a shame El Cid isnt in OZ....i've at least 1/2 doz 'smithing jobs i need doing....from rebarelling to pillar bedding to rechambering..........a good 'smith is hard to find !
...as you know being from OZ ....in some ways i am blessed ...( i have 2 doz rifles back home and several properties up to 70,000 acres in size to roam on....we dont have seasons or bag limits on bunnies hares foxes goats pigs etc and you can shoot them day or night... summer or winter with anything from an air rifle up to a 50 cal !......
..and .....we still have most of our pistols.....revolvers must have a 4inch barell and semi autos ...5 inches..... semi auto mag capacity is now limited to ten shots though and calibres over 9mm/357...you need to shoot a 'special match' like metallic sil with a .45 1911 !!!!......
....however on the flip side .............they have taken the fun factor away by requiring air rifles to be registered and the shooter licensed.....air pistols have to go on your pistol license too !!!! so why bother with a Umarex Beretta or 1911 when you have to jump through the same hoops for the real deal !!!!
we cant hang air rifles (let alone any sort of firearm) on the wall any more either ...have to be locked up in that 3mm steel safe....
......and air softs and deacts !!.... they are prohibited weapons !!!!!
....so it's swings and roundabouts.....I guess...
....the Brocock Yellow Boy does sound like fun though....
